Welcome to the ETU- library, one of the oldest university libraries in St.- Petersburg. It was founded in 1886 at the same time with the Post- Telegraph Department Technical School foundation (since 1899 the Electrotechnical Institution).

The part of the library collection of the Post- Telegraph Department, Alexander III gifts, personal libraries of P.D.Voinorovsky, N.P.Buligin, A.S.Popov etc. formed the basis of the ETU- library. In 1911 it contained 7700 volums of books and 4500 volums of magazines.

At present, more than 100 years after its foundation, the library collection contains 1171706 volums of books and 27963 items of magazines.
